TT: Ian Hutchinson wins on injury return

The Yorkshireman, 34, snatched victory by a couple of seconds from the eight-times winner Michael Rutter.

“It’s probably one of the most special wins I have ever had,” said Hutchinson, who suffered a horror accident at Silverstone in 2010 which left surgeons battling to save his leg.

He suffered another leg fracture in January 2012 and has had 30 operations in three years.

Gary Johnson ran third.
